Monterey Gold, California’s most award-winning honey, is a family-run business and the labor of love of Paul & Larissa Del Piero. Together they continue a family legacy of farming and ranching in Monterey County that spans over 5 generations.

In only 3 years, we've gone from 2 hives on a hill to winning gold medals in nearly every major honey competition on the West Coast. We're particularly proud that Monterey Gold Honey was named a finalist in the 2015 International Black Jar Honey Competition—the most prestigious blind-taste-tested competition of its kind.

Our honey is all produced in small batches from sustainable apiaries in Monterey County. Our bees are free to fly wherever they please – gathering pollen and nectar from the best flowers and plants. Making California’s best honey means focusing on the basics and cutting out the gimmicks. That’s why we:
- Make one type of honey
- Harvest once a year
- Never use synthetic pesticides or chemicals in our hives
